As a photographer, I've been fortunate enough to shoot one of the finest
rock and roll bands on any stage. As a fan, the challenge is to
focus the camera, and not shout "Bruuuce" at the top of your
lungs. That onstage intensity is still there; no sets, no
props, no additives or fillers, nothing to get in the way of
the music. Reviews of the shows in Cincinnati and Columbus,
Ohio, varied, but from where I stood, on both evenings, Nils
Lofgren's blistering solos (right) were well worth the ticket price. |

The band is tight, and as good as it ever was. Forty-year-old songs sound
as fresh as tunes from "Magic," their ninth studio album together. |
